In 1977 Daniel Flannery conceived, designed and directed the original Star Wars Concert at the Hollywood Bowl. He returned to the Bowl many times to produce concerts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. For Steven Spielberg he staged ET’s only public appearance with Maestro John Williams. With Erich Kunzel he produced the Great American Concert series. Flannery brought the legend Gene Autry to the Bowl in a concert celebrating the Cowboy. This would be Autry’s last performance. He collaborated with Michael Tilson Thomas to conceive and design the Great Laser and Music Image Concert.
